Description
The Pilot is an enemy encountered in Expert Mode, Nightmare Mode and Ultra Nightmare Mode, debuting on Wave 8 for both modes and 29 for the latter.
It is an 
Airborne enemy with high health and speed. As such, it can easily break past one's defenses without enough air targeting towers.
Upon death, it will jerk around in the air before crashing into the ground, exploding upon contact and scattering its body parts.
Appearance
The Pilot is a normal-sized humanoid with a dark green skin color, and wears an orange jumpsuit with white-striped sleeves and white cuffs along with a pair of black fingerless gloves and boots.
It dons an orange modern flight helmet fitted with a blue visor and black chin strap. On its back is an orange jetpack, which has a black tank at the top and a pair of yellow nozzes at its end. Additionally, its lower arms are each affixed with an orange attachment, which are fitted with a blue light and a further pair of yellow nozzles. Lastly, the jet nozzles will constantly emit light orange jets for as long as the Pilot is alive.
Strategies
- Air targeting towers with low reload times and high ranges such as bottom path AA Turret or top path XWM Turret are highly recommended due to the Pilot's extreme speed.
- Stunning the Pilot with 4-X+ Laser Gunner or 2-5 Golden Ranger's respective abilities can offset its extreme speed, buying more time for towers to kill them.
Trivia
- The Pilot's design is a reiteration of another scrapped airborne enemy's design.
- In comparison, the older design instead wore a blue jumpsuit and helmet and bore much cruder flying equipment; instead using small green turbofans directly wired to yellow fuel tanks to propel itself.
