This was part of the The Takeover. As of 10/31/2025, the event has concluded.
Description
Slime Event is an event gamemode that was released along with The Takeover and could have been played on the Slime City map. This is the easier version of its nightmare counterpart. It formerly rewarded the Goo Gunner and 3 different badges for progressing through the mode.
The Slime King is the boss of this gamemode, with the first boss being Captain Slime.
Strategies
- Your early game defenses should be cheap and spammable. Despite being horde heavy, the weakness of the enemies means AOE is optional but remains very helpful.
- John's bottom path and Shotgunner are viable options for early game due to their powers to decimate hordes.
- Missile Trooper can be used to deal with crowds.
- Spawner Towers benefit greatly from the long nature of this map.
- Killing slimes using towers or abilities with high splash radius that affect a large area, like Scout Helicopter's bomb and Laser Gunner's Stealth Sensor ability, causes high lag due to the particles produced on death.
- Your early game defenses should be cheap and spammable like Operator.
- John's bottom path can also be used for early-game.
- Missile Trooper can be used to deal with crowds.
- Shotgunner's Unstun Power ability should be used against any stunning enemies.
- Juggernaut will be your main DPS.
- Your early game defenses should be cheap and spammable like Operator.
- Operator should be your Main DPS as well.
- Laser Gunner's bottom path can be a quick way to clear hordes.
- Use EDJ for buffs and less expensive upgrades.
- John can be used for crowd control.
- Place Barracks for help on starting defenses.
- John's bottom path can be used as starting defense.
- Missile Trooper can be used to deal with crowds during early-game, mid-game, and late-game.
- Artillery can also be used for even better horde control.
- Mine Layer should be used to catch any leaks.
- Juggernaut will be your main DPS.
- Railgunner can be your boss killer.
