There are currently seven types of Currency in TDX: two gameplay currencies, CashCash and Credits, 3 progression currencies, Gold Currency Gold, Crystal Currency Crystals, and XP, and two active event currencies: Eggs Currency Eggs and Token Currency Tokens. Additionally, there are two more event currencies, Cookies Currency Cookies and Envelopes Currency Envelopes, that were removed from the game at the end of their respective Events.

Gameplay Currencies[]

CashCash[]

The central currency of TDX's gameplay, CashCash is used for placing and upgrading Towers. There are multiple ways to acquire CashCash:

Finally, CashCash can be acquired by selling already placed Towers, which gives 50% of the Tower's value back. Note that bottom path EDJ increases the sellback value of Towers in it's range.

Credits[]

Credits are a unique currency that is exclusive to certain Gamemodes such as the Man vs. Steel Gamemodes and MLG Nightmare. Credits are obtained through bonuses at the beginning of each wave, and can be picked up by the player after being dropped by slain Enemies. Credits can be spent in the Credits Upgrade Menu to upgrade Tower stats.

Progression Currencies[]

Gold Currency Gold[]

Gold Currency Gold is the primary progression currency in TDX, used in the Lobby to buy most Towers, Power-Ups, Emotes, and Skincrates. Additionally, Gold Currency Gold can be converted in Crystal Currency Crystals by using Ronald, and can be spent to rewind lost matches. Gold Currency Gold can be acquired through multiple means, such as:

Crystals are a currency used to buy Crystal Towers. There are multiple ways to obtain Crystal Currency Crystals:

XP[]

XP, also known as Experience is used to increase your level, allowing you to buy level-locked Towers and enter level-locked areas in the Lobby. Purchasing the VIP Gamepass will increase all XP gains by 10%.

Event Currencies[]

Token Currency Tokens[]

Token Currency Tokens are a currency used to progress through Battle passes. Players can gain Tokens from:

  • Beating Gamemodes. Token Currency Tokens will be awarded, win or lose, but the Token Currency Tokens awarded will increase with the number of waves completed.
  • Completing and claiming certain Quests.

Cookies were a currency exclusive to Man vs. Steel, used to buy specific Skins, Power-ups, Skincrates exclusive to Man vs. Steel, alongside the Psycho Slayer Tower. Cookies Currency Cookies could be obtained:

Envelopes Currency Envelopes[]

Envelopes were a currency exclusive to Lunar New Year Event, used to buy specific Skincrates, Emotes and Name Tags exclusive to Lunar New Year Event. Envelopes Currency Envelopes could only be obtained by defeating Bosses and collecting the dropped Envelopes Currency Envelopes.

Eggs Currency Eggs[]

Eggs Currency Eggs are a currency exclusive to 2026 Easter Event. Eggs Currency Eggs are only obtainable by defeating Bosses. Bosses in Event Modes give 2x the amount, while the 2026 Easter Event gives 3x. Eggs Currency Eggs can be used in the 2026 Easter Event Event Shop, where the Candy Oil Derrick Skin, Xenon's Dream Name Tag, and Bubble Blower Tower can be purchased. Additionally, an infinitely stocked Golden Z.E.D. can also be purchased.
